Government Medical College Thrissur

Location: Thrissur, Kerala

Government Medical College, Thrissur was established in 1982, by Government of Kerala. The College is affiliated to Kerala University Of Health And Allied Sciences, and approved by Medical Council of India, New Delhi. Spread over an area of more than 250 acres, it is located in the serene surroundings of Mulagunnathukavu(M.G Kavu) 14 km away from Thrissur. The college has been offering quality education in the field of medical science, since its inception, and it has a lot of contribution in the health department of the district, as well. It offers a number of courses in a variety of disciplines of medical sciences. The medical college offers courses at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Government Medical College Calicut

Location: Calicut, Kerala

The Calicut Medical College is also Known as Government Medical College Kozhikode, was established in 1957, by Government of Kerala. The College is affiliated to University of Calicut and approved by Medical Council of India, New Delhi. The vast and sprawling Medical College complex is spread over an extensive area of 270 acres located in picturesque surroundings about 10km from the heart of Calicut. The main college hospital with 1183 beds was commissioned in 1966 and the Institute of Maternal and Child Health with 610 beds was commissioned in 1975. The latest addition to this hospital city is the multi-storied specialty complex inaugurated on 23rd September 2006.

Government Medical College Kottayam

Location: Kottayam, Kerala

Govvernment Medical College Kottayam was established in 1960, by Government of Kerala. The college is affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, Athirampuzha and approved by Medical Council of India, New Delhi. The institute is also recognized by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. The College which initially functioned in the District Hospital (DH), Kottayam from 1962 to 1970 was shifted to Arpookara in April 1970. In 1975, all the clinical departments were shifted to the newly constructed campus at Arpookara - now named Gandhinagar. Over the passing years, the campus has expanded and it has now been developed into a little community with all the modern facilities that are required for the smooth conduct of the courses.
