Karnataka CET (Common Entrance Test) which was scheduled to be conducted on May 3rd and 4th is postponed to May 21st, 22nd, 2012. Kannada test for the horanadu and gadinadu students will be held on May 23.
The Executive Director of KEA- Karnataka Examination Authority, Rashmi V Mahesh confirmed that “The CET exams had to be postponed as first Karnataka Second PU Exams were postponed due to leakage of question papers and second, lecturers boycotted the evaluation of 2nd PU papers demanding pay hike”.
The CET results will be announced after the 10 days of CET examination, i.e. in the first week of June said Rashmi. The Second PU results are to be announced in the second week of May.
The evaluation started from April 9, 2012. Lecturers boycotted the evaluation from the next day, from 10th demanding pay hike on par with degree lecturers and other demands. The lecturers ultimately struck compromise deal with the govt and started evaluation from 17th April, 2012.
As per previous schedule, Biology and Maths were to be held on May 3, Wednesday, Physics and Chemistry on May 4th, Friday. To see the revised Time Table please click here.
