
IIIT Allahabad is now on a mission to develop IT Institutions in almost 54 countries of Africa. The Central Government has authorized the action to take place by IIT-A.
IIIT-A director MD Tiwari said, four blocks Bhadar, Bhetua, Amethi and Sangrampur have been covered in the first phase of Discovery Park, a project launched by Human Resource and Development Ministry. Around 26,650 families have benefited through E-Agriculture, Biodiesel, Biofules and Bio-informatics.
Tiwari also included saying that “We plan to set up a cyber centre, e-vocal education, employment generation, rural E-enterprise, rural healtcare including oncology and infrastructure development for rural India in the second phase of Discovery Park in Amethi”.
A Tele-Medicine centre has already started functioning at Amethi campus with the collaboration of Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Medical Sciences, Lucknow as a part of Discovery Park. The facilities for colour scanning, video conferencing, internet connectivity for exchange of information between Amethi campus and SGPGI have been provided for common people.
