The Inter Exam results which was withheld because of missing Physics answer papers, is been scheduled for an re exam on May 16. The State Government decided to allow the Intermediate second year students to appear for an 'Improvement exam' in Physics.
Among the results declared, it is found that 31% of students had failed in the Physics Paper whereas many others had secured very low marks. They blamed it on the change of question paper setting pattern. The re exam is not just for the Physics paper, instead the Board of Intermediate Education has generously allowed all students to take the exam for any paper they want in order to improve their scores.
This is the first time ever happened in the history of Board of Intermediate Education where students of second year are allowed to take up any re exam for improvements. Students appearing for the improvement examination shall be considered as 'Regular candidates' and will not be treated as “Compartmental Candidates”, in certificate issued by BIE. It has been decided to advance the supplementary exams to May 16 from the earlier date of May 23.
