MSU offers free online course on Food Fraud

Michigan State University, is offering free, two weeks online course on Food Fraud.

This online course will commence from 5 to 26 Nov 2013. This course will provide students with insight into the corporate need for effective food fraud management.

This online course includes two live (two hours) webinars from 8 AM to 10 AM on 12 and 19 Nov 2013. The second lecture class includes a special section on food fraud trends in products, policy and in practice.

Food fraud includes adulteration, misbranding, tampering, overruns or licensee fraud, theft, diversion, simulation and counterfeiting, among other issues, which can lead to threats to public health and the economy.

Who to attend:
It is open to any participant in the world interested in food fraud course.

The course will be taught by John Spink, MSU assistant professor in the College of Veterinary Medicine and director of MSU's Food Fraud Initiative.
